I'm searching for a user-friendly Linux distribution that features KDE and works well right after installation without needing loads of configuration. I have used Mint before, but I specifically want a KDE environment and I'm avoiding Kubuntu because I have issues with snaps. Any suggestions?

Kubuntu is a solid choice, but I heard you're not a fan of snaps? I personally use snaps and flatpaks all the time, and it works great for me. Plus, you can add a Flatpak repository through Discovery if you want!

I tried Kubuntu as my first distro and had a lot of problems, especially with Firefox and hardware acceleration. When I asked for help, the advice was basically just 'switch distros.' I did, and I’m glad! I think sticking with mainline distros like Arch, Debian, or Fedora is a better bet. They're cleaner with KDE installed directly.
