What can I do if the QR codes I printed stopped working?

I'm dealing with a frustrating issue regarding QR codes that were printed for my company's product packaging. We had around 400 units printed, but the QR codes, which were generated by a third-party service, have stopped working after the trial period ended. The designer who implemented them is unavailable to help, and now I'm concerned about losing my job if this issue isn't resolved. I'm looking for technical solutions on whether there's a way to restore their functionality, such as editing the URL or redirecting it to another link. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

The problem with your QR codes is that they're likely pointing to a URL managed by the third-party service. Initially, it was working through a redirect during the trial period, but now you'll need to pay for the service to keep it functional. If you don’t want to pay, your only option is to create new QR codes using your own URLs and reprint them. You could try free services for generating QR codes that won't expire.

That's a bummer! Guess you've learned the hard way about using trial services. Best of luck fixing it!

You've got two main options here: pay for the QR code service you used, or reprint everything with new QR codes that link directly to your content. It sounds tough, but in the long run, using a proper QR code service is worth it to avoid this hassle.

Unfortunately, there's no way to fix your issue. Since the QR codes link to the service's servers, they'll only work if you continue paying for them. For future projects, it's better to invest in a reliable service instead of relying on free ones that have restrictions.

You're correct that the QR codes are just links to a service that redirects to your actual URL. Without paying for that service, restoring functionality isn't an option. I recommend making new QR codes with a reliable service that won't cut you off after a trial. QR Code Monkey is a good free option, and you might want to print some stickers to cover the old codes.
