Help! My Surface Pro Keyboard Won’t Connect

I've been using my Surface Pro 9 for almost a year, and recently the keyboard that came with it just stopped working. It's not a Bluetooth keyboard, and when I try to attach it, it won't turn on at all. At first, I could get it to connect by holding it at a weird angle, but now nothing works. I think the problem is with the connection points on the keyboard rather than a software issue, but I'm not very tech-savvy. I really need it for writing and can't afford a new keyboard. By the way, the keyboard has a holder for a Surface pen since I have one of those.

First off, you might want to clean the connector area on your Surface. There are magnets in that part which can attract dust and metal particles, making it hard for the keyboard to connect properly. A soft cloth or a brush can help clear it out. Just be gentle!
