What CPU Should I Pair with a 5070 Ti and DDR4 RAM?

I just got a 5070 Ti and I plan to use my 64GB CORSAIR Vengeance LPX DDR4 RAM (4x16GB, 3600MHz) for my new build since RAM prices are sky-high. However, the CPU I initially wanted to use is DDR5 only. I'm looking for suggestions on a CPU that complements the 5070 Ti without bottlenecking my performance and that works with DDR4 RAM. I don't have a strict budget; I just want to make sure this build is powerful. I've heard some people recommending Intel's K series, but I've also seen mentions of reliability issues. Any advice would be appreciated!

If you’re looking for something high-end, the i9-14900K is a fine option too if you can find it within your budget. Just keep in mind that it might be a bit overkill unless you need the performance boost.

I’d say consider the used market for 5700X3D or 5800X3D as well. They're decent options if you can snag them for a good price, but they are getting harder to find. If you want something reliable, Intel is probably the way to go.

A lot of people are mentioning the 14XXX series, but don’t overlook the 13XXX generation either. The i9-13900K is affordable on eBay right now for about $300, which isn’t bad for the performance you’re getting.

Look at the 5800X3D if you can find it. It’s discontinued but can be pricey if you find it used. The 5800X is still available for around $220, and it could handle most games quite well!

You should definitely consider the i5-14600K. It's actually better than any Ryzen 5000 series CPU currently available and offers great value compared to the 14700 or 14900. It's a solid pick for your build!

Yeah, I agree! The i5-14600K and other Intel CPUs from the same generation are impressive. Intel has really stepped up their game with this gen, especially for DDR4 builds. Even something like the 5700X3D could perform well for gaming, but it might lag in productivity tasks compared to the newer Intel options.
