Hey folks, I'm building my first PC and while trying to install the IO shield on my Asus x870e-e motherboard, I accidentally scraped something off the back. I'm really worried and want to know if there's a safe way to test if the motherboard still works. I'm feeling pretty upset about this. Also, I'm not sure how to share photos if needed.

I saw your imgur link. Looks like the capacitors and some protective coating might be gone. Honestly, that’s a bit concerning, and I wouldn’t recommend powering it on until you get a second opinion.
