Advice for Passing the AWS Cloud Practitioner Exam

Hey everyone! I'm gearing up to take the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam and would love some advice from those of you who've successfully passed it. I have a couple of specific questions:

1. What study materials or notes would you recommend for beginners?
2. Are there any video courses (either free or paid) that clearly explain the concepts?
3. Which resources helped you truly understand AWS rather than just passing the exam?
4. Where can I find reputable practice questions, like question banks or mock exams?
5. Any tips, strategies, or common pitfalls to avoid during my preparation?

I'm looking for a well-structured study approach so I can build a solid foundation and pass the exam with confidence. Thanks a lot for your help!

First things first, don't stress too much about studying too hard, especially if you're in a non-technical role. Just remember that the exam is mostly about understanding vocabulary and basic concepts. Aim to answer S3 where you can, and you'll already score 500 out of 1000!

You should check out this website: [examtopics.com](https://www.examtopics.com/exams/amazon/). They have sample questions for different AWS exams, including the Cloud Practitioner. It’s helpful for identifying the areas where you need improvement. Also, signing up for a free SkillBuilder account and following their prep course is really beneficial. I managed to pass my Solutions Architect Associate using the free version!

Just a heads up, while those sample questions are useful, the provided answers aren’t always correct. Make sure to verify the right answers if you’re using them. But I totally agree—learning the material is much more important than just memorizing a ton of questions!

One great resource is the AWS Well-Architected Framework whitepaper, which covers the exam domains and helps you think like AWS. Using the official AWS practice exam, which costs $20, is also a great way to gauge your readiness before taking the real thing!

The exam is considered foundational, so it mainly tests your vocabulary. If English isn't your first language, you can request an ESL accommodation for an extra 30 minutes. I recommend checking out free courses on SkillBuilder.aws by searching 'CLF'. It's all about understanding the core services like S3 for storage and EC2 for compute—plus, familiarize yourself with cloud benefits and pricing models. You really don’t need to pay for any training for the Practitioner exam!
