Hey everyone! I'm getting ready to order parts for my first PC build and I'd love some advice on my setup and tips for assembly. I've picked out everything for a total of just under $3,000. Here's what I've got so far:
- AMD Ryzen 9 7900X 4.7 GHz 12-Core Processor
- ASRock AMD X870E Taichi Lite
- G.Skill Flare X5 64 GB DDR5 CL 30
- PNY GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB
- Samsung 990 PRO SSD 1TB PCIe 4.0
- Corsair RM1000x Shift
- Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO
- Lian Li LANCOOL 216 ATX Mid Tower Case
I'm particularly interested in any advice regarding assembly and whether these parts will work well together!

Just a heads up—ASRock boards with Ryzen CPUs can have issues. It might be a good idea to check for any recent fixes or updates about AM5 CPU failures since you're considering using one.
What are you planning to use this PC for? It can help with making sure your build fits your needs!
Honestly, your setup looks really solid! You've invested wisely for the performance you're getting, so props!
Thanks! I really appreciate that! Do you have any tips for the assembly process?

I'm mostly focused on fine-tuning LLMs, doing some 3D work, and programming for computer vision. I might dabble in some image generation and video, but I know this isn't the best setup for video production.
