Hey everyone! I'm considering building a PC without a dedicated GPU and I'm looking at the Ryzen 7 9700X for the build. I've heard that it can hit 200+ fps in games like Valorant, but I'm unsure about how it performs in AAA titles. I'm thinking of getting the Ryzen 7 9700X for around $360. Do you think this is a good choice for that price? If not, can anyone suggest a better CPU within a similar price range, or a good CPU/GPU combo that fits my budget? I plan to game at 1080p, so will this setup handle AAA games well?

You mentioned seeing 200 fps, but that’s likely on integrated graphics, not during actual gameplay at 1080p. Without a dedicated GPU, AAA gaming will be tough. The iGPU in desktop CPUs typically struggles with graphics-heavy games. If you're set on the Ryzen 7 9700X, just keep in mind that you may not get the performance you expect in bigger titles. Also, $360 seems a bit high—it's about $300 in the U.S. where prices are usually better.

For a no-GPU build, you might want to check out the Ryzen 7 8700G. It has 12 integrated graphics cores, which perform decent enough for light gaming, even some AAA titles at 1080p. It's a solid choice if you're avoiding dedicated graphics cards altogether. Just keep in mind, having at least a basic GPU would still offer better overall performance.
