Affordable Certifications That Boost Your Resume

I'm looking to enhance my resume with some certifications that will help me pass job screenings. I have over a year of experience in full stack development using React, MongoDB, and .NET. I'm also interested in fields like cloud computing and other databases. My main goal is to find certifications that are budget-friendly, as I don't live in a country with high wages. I've come across the Global Skill Development Council (GSDC) certifications, which are reasonably priced. Are these certifications considered legitimate and well-recognized in the industry?

I would say most certifications aren't worth the investment unless they're from well-known platforms. However, cloud certifications like AWS and GCP actually have value and are recognized by employers. The AWS Solutions Architect Associate, for example, costs around $150 and is definitely a better use of your money than something like the GSDC. Stick to the ones that have real industry clout!

Certifications from reputable cloud platforms do hold some weight, but remember that without practical experience, they won’t do much on their own. Still, they can be a great addition to your resume if you're looking for something to fill it out. So, go for those cloud certs—they're generally affordable!

It's true that many certifications lack value unless they're globally recognized. If you're competing with others who have similar qualifications, certifications can make a difference in salary and job prospects. Definitely consider cloud certifications from Azure or AWS—they're one of the few that matter.
