After Fresh Windows Install, My Gaming Performance is Terrible!

I just installed Windows and updated all my drivers, but now I'm experiencing super low FPS in games. I've tried reinstalling the drivers and adjusting settings in the Nvidia control panel, but nothing seems to help. I can't even change the refresh rate or brightness of my display, which is strange since those options are available but don't work when I try to change them. My performance has dropped significantly, going from hundreds of frames per second down to just 4-15 FPS at best (with a peak of 15 for a short moment).

Here are my specs:
- Ryzen 7 6800H
- Nvidia 3070Ti
- 32GB DDR5 RAM at 4800MHz

I've done everything I could think of:
- Updated chipset and GPU drivers
- Tried toggling Windows optimization features
- Adjusted GPU scheduling and CPU parking
- Downgraded Windows and then re-updated it
- Even updated the BIOS!

It sounds like Windows might not be properly recognizing your monitor. Try switching to a different cable or port on your GPU and monitor. Sometimes, the settings can get stuck if the monitor drivers aren't correctly installed. Also, did you reinstall the chipset drivers for your motherboard after the Windows install? That can make a difference too.

Have you tried using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to completely remove your current Nvidia drivers and then reinstalling the latest ones? This can sometimes fix weird performance issues. Just make sure to reboot into safe mode to run DDU effectively. Your FPS drop sounds frustrating!

I actually did a manual driver reinstall using Nvidia drivers with a clean install. Thanks for the suggestion, though!
