Alt+Tab Does Not Switch Away from Fullscreen Apps on KDE Wayland

I'm using CachyOS with KDE Plasma and the KWin Wayland session. When an application is running fullscreen, pressing Alt+Tab does not switch to another window—the fullscreen app stays focused. This is especially inconvenient in games. Is there a setting or workaround that will let me switch windows normally?

This can happen with games running through XWayland, especially under fullscreen modes. For Steam or Proton games, try adding `PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1` to the game’s launch options. Gamescope is another possible workaround, although it requires more setup. You can also create a KDE shortcut for minimizing or hiding all windows, then use Alt+Tab afterward as a less convenient fallback.

How would I add that environment variable to games outside Steam? I can probably figure it out for Steam, but I’m not sure how to set it for standalone games. I’ll also look into Gamescope and the KDE shortcut—thanks!
