I made a mistake by clicking on a sketchy link that led me to an NSFW site. I was logged in with my school email, and it freaked me out! I cleared my browsing history and was on my phone using cellular data with a VPN. Is there any chance that the school can find out what I did?

You're probably in the clear. As long as you weren't using a school computer or the school network, they likely won't find out. Trust me, the IT folks have seen way worse. They usually don't care about one random click if it's not on their system.

Don't sweat it too much. If it comes up, just be honest about it. One accidental visit to an NSFW site isn't going to land you in hot water—it's repeated visits that might raise red flags.
