Apache page works on my laptop but not on my phone

I added some text to my index.html file after starting Apache. The updated page loads normally in my laptop's browser, but it won't open when I try to access it from my phone. What networking or Apache settings should I check to make the page reachable from the phone?

This is probably a network-access issue rather than an Apache content problem. Find the laptopโ€™s IP address, then test whether the phone can reach it. If the phone cannot even ping or connect to that address, check the Wi-Fi connection, network isolation settings, and the laptopโ€™s firewall.

Make sure the firewall allows incoming HTTP traffic on port 80, and HTTPS on port 443 if you are using HTTPS. Also verify that Apache is listening on the laptopโ€™s network interface, not only on 127.0.0.1 or localhost. Apacheโ€™s listen and virtual host settings are worth checking.

First check whether the phone is connected to the same local Wi-Fi network as the laptop. If the phone is using mobile data, it wonโ€™t be able to reach a private address such as 192.168.x.x unless you configure external access and port forwarding. Use the laptopโ€™s local network IP address in the phoneโ€™s browser.
