Are 13th Gen Intel CPUs Compatible with 12th Gen Motherboards?

Hey everyone, I've been wondering if the new 13th generation Intel processors will work with my 12th generation motherboard. I know it might be a silly question, but I couldn't find a clear answer. Also, does this apply to the 14th generation too?

ConfusedNoob: Thanks for clearing that up! I didn't realize a lot of this info was readily available. I only checked socket compatibility and found out about LGA 1700. Just got a bit confused with the different codenames like Alder Lake and Raptor Lake.
