I've noticed a lot of builds using the Hyte Y70 have fans at the bottom of the case. I'm curious if that's really important. Should I install intake or exhaust fans at the bottom, or does it not make much difference? I'll share my build in the comments since I can't post links here.

I've never used bottom fans myself. If your case is on the floor, I’d recommend skipping them to avoid dust buildup. But if it’s on your desk, they might not be as important. Personally, I don’t think base fans significantly improve airflow. However, if you use them as exhaust, they could help with dust management.
It really depends on your setup! If your PC stays cool without bottom fans, then you might be fine. Everyone has different components and setups, so it’s tough to say for sure. Using both intake and exhaust fans is advisable, though, since it keeps the air flowing properly. Aim for a balance between intake and exhaust for the best performance.
From my experience, having bottom fans can definitely help with airflow. It’s best to have intake fans at the bottom or front and exhaust fans at the top and back. I made the mistake of having mine positioned incorrectly, and my CPU was hitting 80°C while idling. After adjusting, it’s now down to 30°C! So it does make a real difference.
