I'm transitioning from an old LGA 1151 socket to an AM5 platform soon and I'm concerned about the compatibility of my CPU cooler's bracket. I found a Deepcool bracket online that's inexpensive, and I'm wondering if it can fit my Thermaltake cooler. Do I need to buy a completely new cooler since I lost the original brackets that came with it? This is my first forum post, and I hope I'm doing this right!

You could reach out to the cooler manufacturer to ask if they sell AM5 brackets separately. There's a decent chance they would for a small fee.
The bracket might fit, but there's no guarantee, and using the wrong one could damage your components. It's safer to get a new cooler since they’re relatively affordable. If you want tailored recommendations, sharing your parts list is a great idea! You can use a site like PCPartPicker to do that.

I'm in a similar boat! I'm reusing some parts like my GPU and SSD but I'm cautious about my PSU since it's over 10 years old and only 500W. PCPartPicker says it's okay, but I might just get a new one for peace of mind. Here's my parts list for reference: [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/xthTBv](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/xthTBv)
