Are GPU Prices Rising Again, and Should I Buy an RX 9070 XT Soon?

I'm planning to buy an AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT soon, but prices in my country jumped noticeably this week. Is this part of a broader market increase, possibly related to AMD raising prices or memory shortages, or is it mainly a regional issue? Should I buy now, or might prices come back down?
Answers
The broader GPU market is being affected by expensive memory and strong demand from data-center and AI hardware. Nvidia cards seem especially difficult to justify at current prices, while AMD may still offer better value, but neither brand is guaranteed to keep prices stable.

The situation isnโt identical everywhere. For example, some Canadian buyers have found the 9070 XT cheaper than it was over a year ago, so local stock and currency conditions matter. Check several retailers and compare the current price with recent local history before deciding.

If you find an RX 9070 XT at a reasonable price from a reputable seller, buying sooner may be safer than waiting. Prices could continue rising, but itโs still worth avoiding inflated deals since some retailers may simply be taking advantage of the situation.

Prices do appear to be climbing in many places, and some people are reporting increases of around 10โ15% for AMD cards. Memory shortages and higher component costs are being cited as major reasons, although regional availability and retailer pricing can make a big difference.
