I just built my PC with a 7600X3D processor using a Thermalright Assassin 90 SE cooler, and the case is an SGPC K88 Lite. I'm seeing idle temperatures around 50-60°C, gaming temps at about 82°C, and during a single run of Cinebench, it spikes to 86-87°C. I've enabled Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO), and at full load, the CPU package power is around 75W. These temperatures seem a bit high to me, particularly at idle and during gaming. I'm using MX-6 thermal paste and feel confident about the cooler's mount. My GPU temperatures are only around 60-70°C while gaming, so I don't think it's an airflow issue in the case. Should I be worried about the cooler's capability, consider a return, or is this normal for the 7600X3D?

Have you checked how your cooler's fan is connected? If it’s on a fan hub instead of directly to the motherboard, that could affect speed. You might want to tweak the fan curve a bit since a 92mm fan doesn’t push as much air as a 120mm one. If returning the cooler is an option, the Peerless Assassin Mini is a good alternative with a larger fan that could help.

The fan is plugged directly into the motherboard, and I’ve set up a fan curve that ramps up the speed as temps rise. I have until December 17 to return it, so I'm definitely considering that, thanks for your input!
