Are my CPU idle temperatures of 46-48°C normal for a Ryzen 9 9800X3D?

I just wrapped up my new PC build and I'm feeling a bit stressed about the temperatures I'm seeing. My setup includes three Noctua A12x25 fans as intake, one Noctua 12x25 G2 as exhaust, and a Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120SE cooler. At idle, my CPU is running at 46-48°C. I did some research and found mixed opinions on whether that's okay—some say it is, but I'm not sure if those opinions are outdated or relevant. My fans are spinning at 1800 RPM in SmartMode, which is higher than I'm used to at idle, and MSI's software shows that anything above 40°C triggers a moderate to high load, ramping the fans up to at least 70%. Should I adjust the fan curve, or would that affect my performance negatively?

Yep, that temperature range is pretty normal for your CPU at idle. I would recommend adjusting your fan curves to suit your preferences. That way, the fans can be quieter when it's not under load and ramp up when needed.
