Does anyone know whether the OpenAI GPT-5.6 models are currently available on Amazon Bedrock, or if access is still being rolled out by account or region? They do not appear in my account yet, and I am wondering whether contacting support or an account representative would help.

There are signs that the models were announced as generally available, but that does not necessarily mean every account or region can use them immediately. Availability, model IDs, pricing listings, and console or SDK support may lag behind the announcement.
Several people are still not seeing the models, so this may be a gradual rollout rather than a single switch being enabled everywhere. Checking the current Bedrock model list and service updates is probably more useful than opening a ticket right away, although support may be able to confirm account-specific access.
The bigger limitation may be regional coverage and integration support. Even when a model is available, restricted regions, missing pricing information, or model IDs that have not appeared in the SDK can make it difficult to use in production. Other cloud platforms may expose newer OpenAI models sooner or provide broader endpoint support.
That is my concern too. Limited regional availability makes these models hard to use for applications that need reliable access in places outside the initial supported region.
