I've been having persistent problems with Google's primary DNS at 8.8.8.8 not being reachable. This started on January 9th and seems to be happening again. I can't ping or traceroute to 8.8.8.8, and it appears to only affect certain ISPs. Is anyone else having similar issues?

Got a call from work about our main internet being down. I had a monitor on 8.8.8.8, and it failed. After rebooting the AT&T equipment, it still didn’t come back like it did on the 9th. I switched to Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 for monitoring, and that worked fine. I still can’t ping 8.8.8.8 on my Starlink, but I can ping it using my cellphone data. It’s a weird situation.
We actually had 2 hours of downtime on the 9th and another hour and a half tonight in the Chicago suburbs.
Just a heads up, Google has a history of throttling pings to 8.8.8.8. I use a TCP connection to port 443 every 15 seconds, which helps me check if it's reachable and accepting DNS queries.
I'm seeing similar issues here in Wisconsin and also in Ohio. It's kind of frustrating.

It just started responding for me on Lumen!
