I'm planning to build a new desktop PC or laptop early next year, and I'm curious about whether I should consider a pre-built option. Since a pre-built comes with RAM, storage, and a video card already installed, do you think those components are protected from current price fluctuations in the market? Plus, I thought this could be a solid starting point for upgrades when the prices do stabilize somewhat. I'd love to hear your thoughts and advice on this! Thanks!

OEMs usually have agreements that lock in prices and supply for some time, but they'll eventually face the price hikes like everyone else. It's a waiting game right now!
You might find some pre-builts without inflated prices for now, but I'm skeptical about next year. Just got a new laptop myself because I expect prices to skyrocket then.

That's true! And once one big brand ups their prices, others will likely follow suit. I heard Lenovo and Dell are already increasing prices on RAM options.
