Are Radeon 9070XT Prices Likely to Increase?

I've got all my PC components ready to go, like RAM and SSD, but I'm still searching for the right GPU. I initially planned on snagging the 5070 Ti, but now its price has shot up over £850. I'm considering switching my focus to the 9070XT. Does anyone think the 9070XT could end up costing around £700 or more?

Great question! I picked up my 9070XT back in December, and it’s been running really smoothly. From what I've read, there's a lot of talk about prices rising due to ongoing shortages that don’t seem likely to be resolved anytime soon. The advice I've seen is to grab a GPU with at least 12GB of VRAM sooner rather than later. That said, if PC gaming demand drops due to these high prices, there might be a chance prices could fall, but I wouldn't bet on it happening soon. Companies are also shifting more focus towards AI, which could mean fewer consumer-grade GPUs in the future. Just some food for thought!

AMD recently mentioned they would try to keep prices near MSRP for now, but nothing is guaranteed. So far, their pricing hasn’t been affected as much as NVIDIA's, but unpredictability is a constant in this market. I just bought a RTX 5070 Ti Aero OC for $829 two weeks ago, and now I can't find it for under $1,200 anywhere. It's a wild ride out there!

You might still find it at Micro Center for a good price!
