I recently bought a Samsung 990 Pro 2TB SSD during the Black Friday sale to use with my PS5. However, I don't have a PC to check or update the firmware myself. I've heard some stories about these drives having issues where they might fail prematurely. Do these concerns still apply, or have they been resolved? If necessary, I'm considering returning it and getting a different SSD, like one from WD.

Most of the issues were related to a bad firmware, but you can fix that by downloading the Samsung SSD tool and updating the firmware. It's worth checking out to avoid any problems.
