I have a 50-inch smart TV that was originally about $200, but the screen is cracked. The motherboard, power supply board, audio components, and other electronics still appear to be in perfect working condition. Is it worth removing and selling these parts, or would the likely return be too small to justify the effort of listing, packing, and shipping them?

For the average person, it’s probably not worth stripping and storing the parts. Remove anything you specifically want for soldering practice, then take the rest to an electronics recycling facility. They can decide whether any components are worth salvaging.
There probably isn’t much local resale value. A replacement screen or repair labor can cost as much as—or more than—a new budget TV, so most repair shops won’t be interested. You might get a small amount for the boards from someone repairing the exact same model, but it could take months to sell.
If you want to try selling anything, identify the exact TV model and board numbers, then list the motherboard and power board individually. The buyer usually needs a match for a specific model, so don’t expect a quick sale, and remember that shipping can eat up much of the profit.
Listings for similar motherboards seem to be around $30–$50, but there are also many that never sell. Realistically, expect closer to $10–$15 unless your exact model is in demand.
