Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my cheap monitor now that I've finally got the budget to splurge a bit. I'm considering a monitor larger than 32 inches, but it seems like most options are those ultrawide curved types that I find unappealing. Can anyone recommend a standard monitor suitable for 4K gaming without the ultrawide or curved features? Also, do ultrawide monitors really offer any advantages, or do they just take up too much space? My budget is around $1,000. By the way, I've heard suggestions about getting a TV instead—do they even have DisplayPort?

You might want to consider getting a flat OLED monitor; they offer fantastic quality without the curve. Dell also has some solid, albeit more traditional, displays that might fit your needs. Just keep in mind your price range—some excellent options can be found around $1,000.
Definitely, there are benefits to ultrawide monitors! If you're into gaming, they can maximize your field of view and really enhance immersion. And for productivity, they let you keep multiple windows open without clutter. That said, if space is a concern, I'd suggest sticking to a traditional 32-inch monitor—there are good options out there.

That sounds great! Just to clarify, what's your specific price range? I'm looking for something that handles 4K well too.
