Are there React design systems built specifically for AI agents?

I'm building an agentic AI product and need polished interfaces for chat, streaming responses, loading states, tool calls, agent activity logs, and other interactive patterns. Most design systems I've found are fairly generic, and while I tried using shadcn, I ended up having to design and assemble too many AI-specific components myself. Are there React libraries or design systems with these patterns already built in? I'm open to paid options if the components are comprehensive and well designed.

BoardUI looks like a strong fit. It includes agent-focused components, animations, and premade templates, so you may not need to build all the interaction patterns yourself.

Before paying for any library, test how it handles the less glamorous states: long-running tasks, failed tools, retries, partial streams, cancellations, and actions that require user confirmation. Many systems look great in a basic streaming demo but become difficult to customize when an agent gets stuck or something fails.

Assistant UI is one of the better options for treating agent state and tool calls as first-class UI elements instead of just wrapping a chat window. Generic design systems usually donโt provide the primitives needed for streaming logs, tool execution, or agent status, so you end up rebuilding those pieces anyway.
MellowCedar42: That sounds very close to what I needโthanks!

Take a look at Vercelโs AI SDK UI components for streaming chat interfaces. Assistant UI is another solid React option, with components for streaming, tool calls, and visualizing agent state. Theyโre useful foundations, although the default styling may feel fairly basic if you want a more distinctive product experience.
MellowCedar42: Those are both really good, but Iโm hoping for something with more polished and interactive visual patterns.
