I'm planning a high-end gaming PC and have been saving for it for a long time, so I want to make sure I choose compatible parts. My current list includes an AMD Radeon RX 9070, AMD Ryzen 9 9850X3D, a dual-channel DDR5-6000 CL30 AMD EXPO memory kit, a PCIe 4.0 M.2 NVMe SSD, an Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 360mm cooler, a Lian Li LANCOOL III E-ATX case, and a Thermaltake Toughpower GF A3 850W power supply. Besides a monitor, am I missing any essential components? Are there compatibility issues, and would these parts make sense together for a gaming-focused build?

Make sure the case includes the fans and that the 360mm radiator can be mounted where you want it. You’ll also need an operating system and possibly additional storage, depending on how large your game library is. An 850W quality power supply should be plenty for this setup, assuming the final graphics card recommendation does not require more.
The biggest missing part is the motherboard. You’ll need an AM5 board that supports the processor and DDR5 memory, such as a suitable B650, X670, B850, or X870 model depending on the features you want. A compatibility checker can also flag socket, memory, cooler, case, and power-supply issues.
The listed parts should generally work together, but the CPU-to-GPU balance is worth reconsidering. For a gaming build, a less expensive X3D processor could provide very similar results while leaving more of the budget for an RX 9070 XT. The regular RX 9070 paired with a very high-end CPU may not be the best use of your money.
