Are These Parts Compatible for a First 1440p Fortnite Build?

I'm building my first PC and want to confirm that all of these parts work together. The planned build includes a Ryzen 7 5800X3D, PNY RTX 5060 Ti 8GB, 32GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR4-3200 memory, a Corsair Nautilus 360mm AIO, an ASUS TUF Gaming B550-Plus WiFi II ATX motherboard, an MSI MAG A850GL PCIe 5 850W 80+ Gold power supply, and a Corsair Frame 4000D RS Wood mid-tower case with three front fans and one rear fan. I mainly play Fortnite at 1440p on Low or Performance Mode and would like to reach 300+ FPS with a 1440p 360Hz IPS monitor. Are these components compatible, and is this a sensible build for that goal?

For a brand-new build, AM5 is worth considering instead of buying into AM4. The 5800X3D is still a strong gaming CPU, but it can be expensive because it is one of the best processors available for that older socket. A Ryzen 5 7500F or 7600 paired with an AM5 motherboard and DDR5 memory could give you a better upgrade path, although the platform costs more upfront.

Would switching to an AM5 processor also mean replacing the motherboard and DDR4 memory with an AM5 board and DDR5 RAM? I’m trying to keep the extra cost under control.

The system should run Fortnite well at competitive settings, but consistently holding 300+ FPS at 1440p is not guaranteed. The RTX 5060 Ti’s 8GB of VRAM may become a limitation, and average FPS is only part of the experience—frame-time dips and 1% lows matter when using a 360Hz display. You may reach very high frame rates on Performance Mode, but a stronger graphics card would make the 1440p target more realistic.

The parts are generally compatible: the 5800X3D uses AM4, the B550 motherboard supports it, the DDR4 memory matches the platform, and the 850W power supply is more than enough. The case should also fit the ATX board and a 360mm radiator, though you should double-check the radiator and graphics-card clearance in the exact mounting position. Make sure the motherboard has a BIOS version that supports the 5800X3D before assembling.
