Are These Parts Compatible for a Gaming and Programming PC?

I'm building my first PC for competitive shooter games and programming, and I'm still learning how to check component compatibility. I'm considering a Micro Center bundle with a Ryzen 5 7600X3D, a Gigabyte B650 motherboard, and 16GB of DDR5 RAM, along with an RX 9070, a 1TB NVMe SSD, an inexpensive CPU cooler, and a mid-tower case. With a new monitor included, the total would be around $1,290. Do these parts work well together, and are there any compatibility issues or upgrades I should consider?

Before buying, verify the details rather than relying only on the parts list: the motherboard and case need to support the same form factor, the case must have enough room for the GPU, and the CPU cooler needs to stay under the caseโ€™s maximum cooler height. Also confirm that the RAM is DDR5, since B650 boards require DDR5 memory.

MellowQuartz42: I checked those points: the case supports the motherboard and GPU, the power supply has enough wattage, the case includes fans, and the memory is DDR5.

That sounds like a pretty capable build for the money. The RX 9070 is still commonly available around the $650 range, so the overall configuration looks well balanced. The main thing Iโ€™d reconsider is memory capacityโ€”16GB will work, but 32GB would be a better long-term choice for gaming, programming, and multitasking.

The parts are compatible and should make a strong gaming system, especially for competitive shooters. Just make sure the power supply is a reliable model with enough wattage for the RX 9070 and the rest of the system.
