I'm planning my first PC build and want to make sure there aren't any compatibility problems with these parts: a Ryzen 5 9600X, Peerless Assassin 120 SE cooler, Gigabyte B850 AORUS ELITE WIFI7 motherboard, Radeon RX 7600, 16GB DDR5-6000 memory, a 500GB NVMe SSD, and a 750W power supply in a Phanteks XT PRO case. I'm also considering installing SteamOS and would appreciate advice on whether it should work well with this hardware. I expect to buy the components gradually, so the total cost is flexible.

It may be worth checking used-market listings for individual parts or even a complete system. With some patience, you might find a stronger build for around the same money, especially if you compare several deals carefully.
Since you’re building over time, you could consider an older AM4 setup with DDR4 to reduce the cost. It may offer better value if you don’t need the newer platform features.
I’m planning to purchase the parts gradually, so the budget isn’t as restrictive, but I appreciate the suggestion.

That’s a good idea—thanks.
