My ASUS Q530V running Windows 11 abruptly went into hibernation when the battery became low, without showing the usual warning. Since then, it powers on with the keyboard backlight and eventually the fans, but the display stays completely black and the keyboard does not respond. Even the function key for toggling the keyboard lighting does nothing. Holding the power button for about five seconds shuts it down, although I suspect the system may be entering hibernation again rather than performing a full forced shutdown. Holding it for up to a minute, allowing the battery to drain, and then recharging it have not fixed the problem. On one attempt it shut itself off after about 20 seconds, but now it remains powered on until I turn it off. This has happened once before, though I cannot remember what resolved it. I tried disconnecting the internal battery and holding the power button for a minute, then starting it with only the charger connected, but it still shows a black screen. What else can I try to recover it from this apparent hibernation or startup failure?

Try a true power reset by removing the bottom cover and disconnecting the internal battery. With both the battery and charger disconnected, hold the power button for about a minute to discharge the system, then connect the charger only and try starting it. If the screen is still black after that, the problem may be beyond a stuck hibernation state and could involve the display, firmware, memory, or storage.
I disconnected the internal battery, although two screws were stuck so I could not remove it completely, and performed the power reset twice. It still only shows a black screen. Starting it with just the charger connected made no difference, and disconnecting the charger while it was running did not change anything either.
