I recently bought an ASUS TUF VG27AQL5A gaming monitor and connected it to an RTX 4060 with DisplayPort. Whenever I turn the monitor off and then back on, it displays "No Signal" until I restart the computer. The same thing happened after restarting the PC to install a program: the monitor still showed "No Signal," and only a second restart restored the picture. Has anyone encountered this with this monitor, DisplayPort, or the RTX 4060? What could be causing the signal to fail after the monitor or PC restarts?

A clean graphics-driver reinstall is a good first step. Use Display Driver Uninstaller in Safe Mode to remove the current NVIDIA driver, then install the latest driver directly from NVIDIA. Also disable Windows Fast Startup under Control Panel > Power Options, since it can sometimes cause display devices to resume incorrectly. If the issue continues, test another known-good DisplayPort cable, even though the included cable is being used.
Start by checking that the monitor, graphics card, and cable are all using compatible DisplayPort versions and that the correct input and DisplayPort settings are selected on the monitor. It may also be worth checking related graphics or BIOS settings on the PC so the devices negotiate the connection correctly.
I tried reinstalling the driver and disabling Fast Startup, but neither fixed it. I’m not sure how another DisplayPort cable would help because I’m already using the cable included with the monitor, and finding a better one locally may be difficult.
