I'm looking to upgrade my AM4 processor to avoid bottlenecking my new RX 9060 XT 16GB graphics card. Currently, I'm using a Ryzen 5 3400G and it's just not cutting it. I'm aiming for a solid upgrade without breaking the bank on an AM5 setup, so I'm hoping to stay under $300. Any recommendations for a processor that will work well with my setup? I'm located in Argentina.

I've got a Ryzen 5 5600 paired with the RX 9060 XT, and it's fantastic for gaming! If you can, get 32GB of DDR4 RAM too for optimal performance.
After doing some research, I switched from a 3600 to the 5700X and it was the best decision! Power efficiency is great and the performance is basically on par with the more expensive 5800X in most cases.
If you're looking for a budget option, the Ryzen 5 3600X is still a good choice, but I really recommend going for at least a 5600 or 5700X if you want to make sure you're future-proofed a bit.
You should definitely consider any of the Ryzen 5000 series processors with 32MB of L3 cache. Ideally, look at options like the 5600, 5600X, or even the 5700X and 5800X, as those will give you the best performance without bottlenecking your graphics card.
Honestly, the 5700X would be a solid choice for your setup. It's priced well and performs great. You might even find it at a reasonable price in Argentina.

The ramp-up in performance you'll see with the 5700X is totally worth it!
