Best Backup Software for Home Use Without Cloud Services?

I'm looking for reliable backup software for my home computer, preferably something that doesn't require cloud services. I've used Acronis for over a decade, but it's been acting up on my Dell laptop. I'm now testing EaseUS, but I'm not a fan so far. Are there any affordable options that have similar features to Acronis? I'd like a perpetual license option since I'm not interested in cloud backups.

For free home use, Veeam Agent is a solid choice. You can find the free version on their website, and it works pretty well for local backups.

You might want to consider Veeam if you have a spare machine to back up with. The Community Edition is free and really simple to set up. Some users also like Clonezilla as a free option for easier backups.

Have you checked out Backblaze? It's been around for a while and people say it’s pretty reliable, though I believe it mainly focuses on cloud backup, so not sure how it fits your needs.

What features are you missing from Windows Backup in Windows 11? I know people often overlook the built-in options. Just a heads up, it might not support encryption, but it's worth checking out.

While cloud services have taken over, if you're set on local backups, the old Backup and Restore from Windows 7 could still do the trick. Just choose the folders you want, set a schedule, and you’re good to go!
