I'm on the hunt for a gaming headset that delivers the cleanest and crispest microphone sound. Right now, I'm using a Steelseries Arctis 9, but honestly, the mic quality is terrible—even with filters applied, it sounds like I'm speaking through a radio. I'd prefer a wireless headset and my budget is around $200. Also, if you think it's better to just get a standalone mic instead of a headset within this budget, I'm open to those recommendations too!

My Astro A40s have great mic quality for a decent price—usually around $100-150. I’ve had good feedback from others asking if I'm a streamer because of how clear it is. Just a solid choice overall!
You typically get a better value with separate mic and headphones. I recently found some used Audeze Maxwell's available for $200, so that might be worth checking out if you're considering going that route!
The MMX 300 Gen 2s are outstanding in terms of mic quality. I had the older version but they've now released the MMX300 Pro, which is essentially the same. It's definitely one of the best headsets I've used!
Honestly, most gaming headset mics are pretty average. If you want great mic quality, I'd suggest getting a standalone microphone. With your budget, you could also grab a boom arm for it. I use the Fifine AM8 mic and it’s significantly better than any headset mic I've tried, and it's not too pricey!
I’ve always preferred not using 'gaming headsets.' I swear by my Philips Audio SHP9500s paired with a V-Moda Boom Pro mic. I've had these headphones for about 12 years, and they still sound fantastic. Just comfortable and high-quality overall!
The Corsair HS80 wired headset is a solid choice. I got mine refurbished on Amazon and the mic quality is impressive for a gaming headset.

Great to hear! I'll keep an eye out for those.
