I'm looking to upgrade a compact ITX server that hosts Plex and some other stuff. The goal is to run my Steam library from this server and stream gameplay using Sunshine or Moonlight. Since I only need it to handle games at 720p and 60fps, I'm curious about which recent generation GPU would be efficient, not overly powerful, and fit well in my setup.

You might also want to consider the RX 9070 Reaper. Just check it out on PCPartPicker; it’s a bit pricier but could be worth it for additional performance.
The RTX 5050 is a solid choice too! It's low power, which makes it great for a media streaming setup.
A GTX 5060 or 5050 would be a perfect fit for your needs! They handle 720p gaming really well without being too much of a power hog.
If you're hoping to max out a game like Cyberpunk at 720p with ray tracing, I'd recommend the RTX 4060. It does a great job even at higher settings, but it's also low on power usage—around 115W, so it's easy on the electric bill!
In my opinion, the GTX 3050 or GTX 1650 should do the trick for your streaming setup. They’re reliable options for 720p gaming without breaking the bank.

I installed the 5060 in my spare PC and it's amazing! For just $300, it can easily handle games like Forza Horizon 5 at 720p maxed out.
