Best iPad Apps for Practicing HTML and CSS During a Long Flight

I'm about to embark on a 25-hour flight and want to make good use of that time by practicing some basic HTML and CSS coding instead of just binge-watching movies. I'm planning to download YouTube tutorials or work through 'Automate the Boring Stuff,' but I need your recommendations for a solid app on my iPad that allows me to practice coding while offline. I know iPads aren't the best for coding, but I'm determined to make the most of my travel time. Any suggestions?

For your coding practice during the flight, you have some good app choices! Besides Textastic, consider Buffer Editor, which has nice preview features, or Kodex, a free app that's straightforward. Play.js is also a fun option if you want to run JavaScript mini-projects. Make sure to download all your materials before the flight so you can really focus on coding. Have a great time!

I appreciate the suggestions! Textastic seems to be a favorite among users, so I’ll look into the free trial. And yes, pre-downloading videos is a must—I prefer to be offline during the flight!

You should definitely check out Textastic! It’s quite reliable for basic HTML and CSS coding, plus it has a built-in browser for previewing your work. I’ve used it for long coding sessions and found it really organized. Just a heads-up, download any tutorials you'll need beforehand since airplane Wi-Fi can be really spotty.

Is Textastic free, or does it have a cost structure? I couldn’t find any pricing info online, so I thought I'd ask! Thanks!

Thanks for the recommendation! I plan to give it a try this week. I'm also counting on downloading some videos since I’d rather not deal with Wi-Fi issues while flying.

For something a little different, you might want to try IT Flashcards instead of coding directly on the iPad. It offers flashcards and quizzes on HTML and CSS, making it easier to learn and test your knowledge in bite-sized sessions, perfect for a flight!
