I'm trying to find the best Linux distribution to run on my old 3rd generation Core i3 laptop. My main usage will be online applications like Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Viber, Gmail, and Canva. I really need a system that's fast with a web browser since I think my laptop might struggle with heavier applications like Zoom. Ideally, I want something that prioritizes browser speed without unnecessary bloat.

If your laptop has at least 4GB of RAM and an SSD, most distros should work fine. I find Debian-based ones are typically a bit snappier than the Ubuntu ones, especially on older systems. It might be worthwhile to try a few different distros to see which one suits you best.
I’ve been using Linux Mint on my old i3 Lenovo, and it runs perfectly! It's user-friendly and works well for all the online apps you mentioned.
If you’re feeling adventurous, you could try Arch with a window manager. It’s lightweight and you'll end up with really low RAM usage at startup, but it does require some tinkering.
