I've experimented with a bunch of Linux distributions, but I'm currently looking to build a system using either AwesomeWM or Xmonad. I need a minimalist distro that won't drain my system resources. I've been using Arch for a while but I'm considering Void, although I've encountered issues with Xorg, likely due to my Nvidia graphics card. Any suggestions on which distro would be the best fit for my needs?

Alpine is a really small distro that could work for you. There's also Antix, which lets you create a USB live system. It’s Debian-based and might fit your needs!
I think Void could be a great choice for you! It's minimalistic and usually works well for setups like AwesomeWM or Xmonad.
Why not try Gentoo without a desktop environment? It's flexible and can be optimized for performance!
Linux Mint is another option. It's a bit on the boring side, but that means stability, especially if you want to avoid any boutique distros for now.
Have you considered using Debian without a desktop environment? It's super lightweight and gives you a lot of control over what you install.
