I'm building my first PC and need some advice on which motherboard to choose. I'm planning to use a 5080 GPU along with either a 9950X3D or 9800X3D CPU. My main uses will be streaming, filmmaking, and gaming. I have a basic understanding of motherboards, so I'd really appreciate any recommendations and guidance on what I should consider when making my choice!

Here's a solid choice: the ASUS Prime X870-P WiFi. It's affordable yet well-built, with cool VRMs that handle a 16-core CPU without any issues. You can check out reviews to get more insights on it, but it’s a good idea to invest a bit more for additional features and ports when needed.

Go for a B650 or B850 motherboard, but skip ASRock if you can. I've heard the B650s work fine, but be cautious with B850 and B870 models.

Yeah, the B650s are solid options for sure!

If you’re focusing a lot on editing, I’d suggest getting an X870. It offers extra PCIe lanes for your NVMe drives, which is beneficial for video work. I use the ASUS TUF X870 and it works great; my colleague swears by the Gigabyte Aorus Elite X870. He does a ton of video builds and loves those boards.

I recommend the ASUS ROG Strix B650E-E. It's an excellent motherboard with great features and performance.
