I'm building a new PC for the first time, moving on from an old pre-built that can't keep up with the latest games. I've done some research, but now I'm stuck choosing between B650, B850, and X870 motherboards, especially regarding their support for the R7 7800x3d CPU. I'd love any advice on motherboards, and I appreciate any critiques on the overall build as well. My main goal is to play the new Resident Evil Requiem at high graphics and decent fps without going overboard on price. Here are the parts I've selected so far with some help: CPU: R7 7800x3d, CPU cooler: Noctua NH D15 G2, GPU: Radeon 9070 xt, RAM: Patriot Viper Venom 16GB (2x8) DDR5 6000, PSU: Cooler Master MWE Gold 850 V2 Fully Modular, SSD: Kingston NV3 SNV3S 1TB, and Case: Hyte Y70 Touch Infinite. Thanks in advance!

For your motherboard, I would recommend the B850; it has everything you need, including enough PCIe slots for your GPU. Just make sure it has the right connections for everything! By the way, check out the PSU, as I’m not sure about its reliability. You want something solid.

Could you elaborate on why the PSU might be an issue? Is it the wattage or the brand that concerns you?
