I'm on the lookout for a suitable AM5 motherboard with solid VRMs that can support both my current Ryzen 9 9950X3D and upcoming Zen 6 CPUs. I also want to keep costs reasonable without going overboard. Any suggestions?

I recommend the B850 MSI Tomahawk Max WiFi. It's a solid option that balances performance and price nicely.
I personally chose the Gigabyte X870E Aorus Pro Ice for my 9950X3D build, and it’s been working flawlessly.
The B850 Tomahawk has great reviews and features 14 phase 80A VRMs, which is perfect for your needs without costing too much. If you want to go for more connectivity, the X chipset versions are available too. Most newer boards have reliable VRMs, so finding one that won't throttle the 9950 won't be too difficult unless you go for the real budget options.
You might want to check out any B850 board that isn't from ASRock or ASUS. I've seen great VRM thermal testing from Hardware Unboxed, which might help you decide.
