I'm looking to build a gaming and streaming PC, and I have a budget of $500. I've done some research, but I'm feeling stuck on what parts to choose. I need something that can handle gaming decently and also allow for streaming. Any suggestions or advice on parts would be really appreciated!

Honestly, I think $500 might be too low for what you're aiming for. You might want to save up and aim for around $2000 to really get something that fits all your gaming and streaming needs.

A decent option could be to grab a Dell OptiPlex 7080, which should come with an Intel i5-10500T. Pairing this with a used RTX 3080 could put you around $500, giving you a mid-tier gaming performance at 1440p. However, if you're aiming for smooth streaming while gaming, you might find that $500 is just not quite enough for the multitasking power you'd need.

PC gaming usually costs more than console gaming, especially if you're multitasking like streaming. Unless you're really skilled at hunting for great deals on used parts, you might need to boost your budget significantly if you want a reliable setup.

Considering the current market, it might be tough to build a solid PC for gaming and streaming on a $500 budget. If you're willing to look for used parts, try to find a Ryzen AM4 motherboard with a 3rd or 5th generation CPU and some RAM. Pairing that with a used RTX 3060 or a 2070 SUPER could help you stay within your budget while getting decent performance for streaming too.

I'd recommend checking out what’s available on marketplaces for used PCs. You might score a good deal that fits your budget.
