Hi everyone! I'm a Canadian working with a non-profit, and one of our staff members will be traveling to China for a month. They need to remotely access a computer back in Canada during their stay. I'm curious about the current state of the Great Firewall and whether common remote desktop tools like AnyDesk, ScreenConnect, or TeamViewer are still effective. If these tools are blocked, what alternatives might work? Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

It's really important to prioritize security in this situation. I wouldn't risk letting anyone connect to your internal systems from China. There are huge risks involved with data security there.

Yeah, our company has strict policies about this too—no devices allowed in countries like China. If someone brings a device, it's getting disposed of, and they'll be responsible for the cost!
