I'm looking for reliable methods to transfer large files from my Samsung phone to my MacBook. The files include some heavy media that are over 4 GB. I've tried using a hub but faced connection issues. My MacBook Pro M4 is currently running on Tahoe 26.1, and I haven't updated to the latest version yet. I usually use NearDrop and Samsung Smart Switch for file transfers, but I'd prefer to use a data cable for quicker transfers due to the file sizes. I've tried adjusting settings I found online, but nothing seems to be working. Any helpful tips?

You might want to try using MacDroid for transferring files. Just keep in mind that you'll need to adjust some developer settings on your phone to get it to work properly. If you're only moving media files, you can also use the Image app on macOS, although it's not the easiest option.
Make sure your phone is set to data transfer mode instead of just charging mode. Switching to Bluetooth could work, but USB is definitely faster. If you're experiencing problems, try checking your USB options on your phone again.
