My Windows 11 PC has an RTX 3060 and was working normally while connected to a 4K TV over HDMI. With the computer and TV still powered on, I unplugged the HDMI cable from the TV and connected it to a 1080p monitor. The monitor showed nothing, and reconnecting the cable to the TV now produces the same black screen. I have rebooted several times, held the power button for about 40 seconds, tried four different HDMI cables, and used Windows+Ctrl+Shift+B to reset the graphics driver, but there is still no display. I have also ordered a DisplayPort cable to test another connection. What could have caused this, and what should I check next?

The graphics-driver reset shortcut is worth trying, but if it produces no beep or image, it probably did not help in this case. Since multiple HDMI cables and reboots made no difference, test another port on the RTX 3060 if available and confirm whether the monitor detects any input at all.
Since the cable was swapped while both the PC and TV were powered on, there’s a possibility the HDMI cable or one of the ports was damaged or that the graphics output got stuck during the change. Try testing the GPU with a different output, such as DisplayPort, and check whether the computer shows anything during startup before Windows loads.
