Black Screen Issues with RTX 4070 Ti at High Refresh Rates

Hey folks, I'm having a frustrating problem that I'd love some help with. I've got an NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti paired with an MSI MAG 271QPX QD-OLED monitor, which supports a whopping 360Hz. I recently upgraded my power supply to an 850W Gold, thinking that might solve the issue, but I'm still facing problems. Whenever I set the refresh rate to either 240Hz or 360Hz, my monitor randomly goes black and shows a 'No Signal' message during gaming. Interestingly, everything works fine at 120Hz.

I've noticed that this blackout happens even if I limit my game's frame rate to 120 FPS while using the higher refresh rates. It's kind of weird—when the screen goes black, I can still hear sounds from the game, but they get stuck, indicating the game has frozen. If I try to unplug and replug the display cable while the screen is still black, it usually crashes the game. My Windows Reliability Monitor points to a LiveKernelEvent 117 every time this happens.

I've also swapped out multiple high-quality DisplayPort and HDMI cables, including some certified optical ones, but that hasn't helped either. At this point, I'm feeling a bit lost and worried about having to replace either the monitor or the GPU, which are both pretty costly. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Have you tried using DDU to completely remove your GPU drivers? It can help with those kernel errors you’re seeing, which often suggest some sort of glitch with the graphics card.

I did try that once, but no luck. I’m starting to think maybe the 4070 Ti itself could be the issue, especially since some DisplayPort ports on the GPU aren't working.
