Budget CPU and GPU Choices for Casual Gaming

Hey everyone! I'm new here, but I've been lurking and reading for months. I think I'm suffering from decision fatigue with all the info out there. I used to game a lot back in the day, but now I'm looking to build a budget-friendly gaming PC. I'm not tight on cash, but I want to make sure I'm not overspending on something I won't use often. My current plan is to go with a Ryzen 5 5600 for about £90, an MSI B450M-A Pro Max Matx for £67, and an RTX 5060 for £265. I have around £150 set aside for the power supply and case, plus I already have some decent SSDs and RAM. How do you all feel about this setup for casual gaming? I'm hoping it'll handle future games like GTA 6 and Battlefield 6, but I'm not aiming for ultra settings at 140fps like I used to. I used to dream of having an endless budget, but now I realize I need to be practical! Would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions!

I'd say go for the best you can afford while sticking to a budget. Remember, you want a balance between price and performance! For casual gaming at 1080p, your setup looks pretty solid, especially with the Ryzen 5 5600. However, you might want to consider a Radeon RX 9060XT 8GB instead of the RTX 5060; it could give you better performance at the same price.

That's a good point! Honestly, for what you're aiming at, the 5600 + 9060XT combo could be a game changer. Plus, with the right settings, it should handle GTA 6 and Battlefield 6 quite well!
