Can a $1,000โ$1,500 PC Run World of Warcraft Well for Years?

I've played World of Warcraft for about 13 years on a late-2013 iMac. For the past three years I've had to use the lowest settings and resolution, and the game now looks extremely basic and is becoming difficult to play. I've still managed to do Mythic+ at a competitive level, but I'm ready for a major upgrade. I have around $1,000โ$1,500 to spend and live in Norway. Would a PC in that price range run WoW comfortably at decent settings and remain capable for several years?

Yes, that budget should be more than enough for a major upgrade from your iMac and can run WoW comfortably at decent settings. Since youโre in Norway, the exact parts and value will depend on local prices and availability, so itโs worth comparing complete builds and individual components from Norwegian retailers. Prioritize a modern six-core-or-better CPU, 16โ32 GB of RAM, an SSD, and a midrange dedicated graphics card. WoW can become CPU-heavy during raids and busy areas, so donโt spend the entire budget on the GPU alone.
